Silence is the most perfect expression of scorn

Danielle @ 12:57:48

I really have to learn to keep my mouth shut. In primary school one recess i mentioned i had never broken anything. Fifteen minutes later i broke my arm. At hockey in yr 8 i mentioned i hadn't ever been really hurt in a game. During warm up i got smacked in the face with a hockey stick.
The other day i mentioned to someone that i hadn't been sick in ages. True to form ive been in bed the last 3 days and haven't had a voice for about the same lenght of time. Guess someones trying to get me to learn the hard way.
I thought it wouldn't really matter so much with the voice, but its surprising how much u realise that u use it. Even small noises of agreement are coming out as high pitched squeaks so its been rather difficult. And its amazing how many ppl, once ive squeaked and waved my arms around enough for them to realise ive been struck mute, go 'oh u've lost ur voice' and then immediately follow with a question. My one eyebrow raised 'u are a complete idiot' expression is coming along nicely (though still hasn't reached finesse of the 'if u touch my arse again ill break ur arm' glare that is employed quite regularly at doms). oh and also, never go and get a haircut when u cant talk, it ends badly. Though im sure it'll grow back......eventually.

Just got back home after a month of being overseas. Everything feels smaller.
the trip was good. Made friends, took a multitude of photos, and it felt good to see all the family again. Won't bore u with all the details.
So yer, now im back. Trying to avoid ringing john, after a month of doing nothing resembling work really not looking forward to going back, even if i am really poor.
